Camilla’s POV

Forgiveness.

I’ve never had trouble with forgiving people, maybe because I crave it for my past actions. I don’t regret most of them and I can justify each and every one but I feel I should seek forgiveness for them so I take whatever pain is handed to me as atonement.

When I went back home, my mother had the reaction I presumed she would give. “My little mermaid, what happened to your hair?” She asked with an unhappy face. I simply shrugged and she nodded, giving me a simple smile.

I assured her I would grow my hair long once again and only she would cut it. That earned me a smile from her, as well as the fact that I donated the hair that I had cut months ago.

None of my parents were shocked I was with Adrian, except my mom who faked a gasp and said, “Nice, a princess deserves no less.” I smiled at her statement, Dad was happy but asked that I make him a promise. I didn’t think twice before promising him as I swore on my life, it won’t be
