The morning air in Morrien Pack Tower carried a chill I hadn’t felt in months. My heartbeat thudded against my ribs as I walked alongside Kale, the weight of the news pressing down on me. My steps felt heavier than they should, almost as if the ground itself were conspiring to slow me down. Elijah and Kara were to be exiled. The very thought churned my stomach into knots.
