The scent of something sweet permeated the air. Derek stood and inhaled, wondering what it was. It was not the scent of his mate and neither was it the fragrance of one of her many beauty products.

“Why does your bedroom smell urm… Nice?” He asked her.

Ella whirled around immediately to look at him. She wondered if he had noticed already.

“I…” she began to explain in a guilty stammer, her voice trembling, as she moved away from Valen who was holding her.

Oh shit! She knew they were smart. This might turn out to be a wrong idea after all.
