“Alpha Nate!” I couldn’t stop the tears streaming down my face, even as Nate tried to appear nonchalant about nearly being killed.
His casual demeanor only made my heart ache more intensely, my tears flowing freely down my cheeks, glistening under the harsh parking lot lights.
