Sarah’s POV
The moment I saw Alexander’s tall figure in the doorway, my heart raced with conflicting emotions.
Part of me was concerned about him—he looked unsteady, his normally impeccable posture slightly off-kilter.
But another part of me wanted to flee, fearing he might try to claim me again. I simply didn’t have the energy for another intense encounter.
I attempted to slip past him, hoping to avoid confrontation. As we brushed shoulders, my wrist was suddenly seized in an iron grip and I was yanked backward with unexpected force.
Without warning, I found myself trapped against his hard chest.
“Alexander, what are you doing?” I asked, breathless with surprise.
