Two hours later, I stood at the edge of the training field behind the pack house, watching as Jeremy gathered the pack children.

Word had spread quickly after Alexander had instructed his Beta to announce a training session with the Alpha himself—something that apparently hadn’t happened in months.

The excitement among the children was palpable. There were about twenty of them, ranging in ages from what looked like five or six up to early teens. Unlike Aria and Thea, most of these children had grown up in the pack, trained from early childhood in the ways of their wolf heritage.
