Chapter 214. The Perfect Betrayal
Author’s POV
Isabelle stood by the window of her secluded cabin nestled deep within the forest bordering Blackwood territory, swirling a glass of champagne as she gazed out at the shadowy trees.
Her wolf, Diana, paced restlessly inside her, savoring their victory. Everything had gone precisely according to plan.
When Suzanna had first approached her with news that Alexander and Summer had completed their mate bond, Isabelle’s rage had been all-consuming.
“The memory of my own humiliation fuels my resolve,” she whispered to her reflection in the window. “How Alexander delayed our mating ceremony repeatedly after Summer’s return.”
She’d agreed to Suzanna’s proposal immediately. The plan to abduct Aria had been elegant in its simplicity.
