Summer’s POV

Looking up at Alexander’s question about how I planned to thank him, I felt something primal take over. Without a word, I reached up and pulled his face down to mine, crushing my lips against his. This wasn’t the innocent kiss we’d shared in the council chambers—this was raw hunger.

I opened my mouth to him immediately, my tongue seeking his, tasting him deeply. Alexander groaned against my mouth, his hand fisting in my hair to control the angle. His tongue invaded my mouth possessively, exploring, claiming every inch as if marking territory. When he bit my lower lip and tugged, I whimpered, feeling heat pool between my thighs.
