Chapter 56. His Wish

Summer’s POV

After Dr. Miller finished examining Felix and assured us there was no immediate concern,we made our way downstairs to the dining room where Beta Ethan, Lyra, and several other pack members were already seated. The large table was laden with platters of roast chicken, fresh salads, and warm bread. My mouth watered at the sight—the Blackwood Pack certainly knew how to feed their people.

Alexander guided Felix and me to seats at his right hand, the position of honor that still made me uncomfortable despite everyone’s acceptance.

He reached for the serving spoon and placed a small portion of chicken onto Felix’s plate, then added a few pieces of bread and salad.

I couldn’t help but notice how natural this felt—the three of us together like a real family. The thought sent a f
