Chapter 111. Who Poisoned My Father?

Devon’s POV

It's been days since I had been trying to find out who poisoned my father but we've got no clue. Dennis tried investigating everything but it seemed the person brilliantly erased all the clues, making it impossible for us to find out.

The only good part was that my father was getting better and my work was being reduced but that also came with a disadvantage. When I was very busy, Bella would always spend time with me to help me de-stress and that had helped me a lot. However, ever since the stress reduced, she had returned to her old distance self.

I sat down in my study, looking at the piles of files in front of me with a cold gaze. "How is my father?" I asked Beta Abel, who was sitting across the desk.

"He seems to be awake. Lady Bella already went to check up on him," He replied.
