Chapter 132. Quinn Is Missing
Days later.
Henry walked in angrily. Suddenly, the room felt too hot and too stuffy for him to breathe comfortably.
In anger, he loosened his tie, took a few cufflinks off and threw them into his pants pockets as he stared at the doorway which wasn’t opening like it was supposed to.
It was way past the time Quinn said that she was going to come home, way past the time she was supposed to walk in, but she was nowhere to be found.
At first, he had tried reassuring himself by saying that she was probably held down by her classy makeup artist because she had always wanted to look exceptionally good for her wedding, but now it was beginning to feel different.
Henry felt weird and bothered. He couldn’t stand the wait anymore.
A tiny voice in his head whispered to him that this was her way of escaping, her way of running away after everything they had been through but he couldn’t bring himself to believe that.
