Chapter 111. Suspicion

I don’t understand why Quain insisted on going to Qarax. I know we don’t need guidebooks to get to Lexington. I was afraid of getting caught looking at Caivan or Gylen. So I decided to concentrate on my dinner instead.
“Cyran,” the call came from Gylen’s voice, and instantly my face hardened, waiting for what he was going to say to me. If he asked which guidebook we should take, I’d tell Quain to answer him! I really don’t know, because Gylen is a very sharp and thorough person.
“Yes?” I finally looked at Gylen, who also looked straight at me before turning to my plate, then back to me.
“You’re in too much of a hurry to eat.”
I immediately laughed, feeling ridiculous. She was driving me crazy, thinking there were things she wanted to know.
“I’m not in a hurry, I’m just hungry,” I replied, perhaps sounding nonchalant to hide my nervousness.
