“We didn’t talk about anything important at first, it’s just that one of them told me to be careful,” I said quietly, leaning over to Caivan so that no one could hear our conversation.
“Can they tell the future?” muttered Caivan as he looked at me in surprise.
“Only my mother can do that.” I chuckled quietly. “Perhaps it’s because they’re animals like you? They can get information in unique ways, they can communicate with whoever it is.”
“But all this time they’ve been working for this ship and haven’t met anyone but the people on this ship. So where did they get this information from?” Caivan wondered, thinking about it with his logic.
“Caivan, I believe them because there’s no way what they’re saying is just talk? They are honest beings and why would they lie to me or just want to scare me?” I tried to say something that would make Caivan believe me. “My instincts tell me that too.”
