Chapter 59
Luxor, Egypt.
Eight months ago.
It had been about ten years since Julian had his first vision, and he still had them. By this point, he had grown used to them. At some point, he had concluded that the sooner he accepted the two natures that coexisted within him, the less likely he would go crazy. The only thing he couldn't shake (not that he had tried very hard) was that mysterious princess who still dominated the deepest corners of his mind.
He knew perfectly well that he could never see her again. After all, the lady had been dead for thousands of years, redundant as it might sound. But he couldn't help but be impressed by that passionate love. The feelings of his past self didn't affect Julian, despite having all the memories. He didn't feel anything particularly significant for that woman, only melancholy for the loss and a bit of attraction at the beginning, something purely physical.
