Despite the severity of the injury to my spine, as the doctors had stated, the ability to regain mobility in my legs was entirely under my control, driven by my willpower, of which I had an abundance.
Every day, I dedicated myself to physiotherapy and hydrotherapy sessions, to gradually improve the mobility of my legs and eventually regain the ability to move them without assistance, which, at that moment, was a challenge.
Despite being shaken by Rachel's visit the day before, I made the firm decision not to let it affect my progress. After all, my sister had repeatedly shown that she didn't deserve a second of my thoughts or concerns.
That afternoon, during another rehabilitation session, I was completely focused, working in tandem with my physiotherapist. He had been recommended by one of Kael's partners and had an excellent reputation.
