Chapter 63. He Will Leave the Country
Zoe's POVI stepped out of the car with a smear of rage on my face. My footsteps were large, and you could tell how upset I was over what he did. I go to their gate to leave; this location is far from my flat, so I'm not clear why he brought me here. Before I could move too far, I heard the car door open and close, and he drew my hand away from me so I could look at him. I did not show him my body. It's only the head. If only a frigid stare was harmful, I'm sure he'd be sprawled on the floor by now.
His expression was clearly worried, and he didn't know what to do as a result. I took his hand away a few seconds later, but he still didn't say anything. When he finally spoke, I would have kept walking. I didn't return his gaze and simply waited for his speech to enter my ear. He was plagued by a few heavy sighs like a consequence of what he had done.
