"Hi," I greeted shyly as I stepped out of my apartment building.

Daniel was already standing right in front, just as he had mentioned earlier, and his outfit caught me off guard.

I had chosen not to dress too casually because I thought we were going to a fancy restaurant, and I didn't want to appear nonchalant. At the same time, I didn't want to be overdressed either, so I settled for a simple outfit. But compared to him, I looked quite overdressed, and that was exactly what I wanted to avoid.

"You know, you should have told me to dress casually instead of making me get all dressed up for nothing. Where are we going, a bowling alley?" I hissed, attempting to save face by pretending to be upset with him.
