Chapter 29
As I walk to the bus stop, I feel my cellphone vibrate and, as soon as I pick it up, I notice Hyun-Suk's name flashing on the screen. A big smile forms on my lips, and I prepare myself to answer quickly.
"Hi..."
"Hello, my dear," I hear his husky voice. "Good evening."
Could a nineteen-year-old heart possibly stop just from hearing a voice? Mine is racing.
"Good evening," I say, trying not to show how I feel when I hear him, and I sit on the bench at the bus stop. "It's morning for you, right?"
"Well, actually, it's already late here," he laughs, still with that muffled tone. "But I just woke up. I went to bed very late and ended up oversleeping."
