Chapter 60

It was past three in the afternoon when I heard Jaejun's footsteps in the room.

"Hyun-suk!" He sounded annoyed.

I smiled at him, seeing his messy red hair and a crumpled face.

"Good afternoon, love," I greeted, and he turned his phone screen to me.

"Hyun, why didn't you wake me up?! I had to work."

"You seemed too tired; you needed a good rest, so I let you sleep for fourteen hours straight."

"Hyun, my God! They'll deduct this from my salary."

"I told Hajun that you would be absent today, and he understood."

Jaejun lowered the phone and his shoulders slumped. He walked to the kitchen and scratched the back of his neck when he looked at the pots on the stove.

"You don't cook," he said, looking at me, confused.

"For everything, there's a first time, right? And I don't cook perfectly. But you can see that my rice hasn't burned yet."

"Yet," he laughed. I pulled him closer, feeling him just as cuddly as the night before. "
