Chapter 33. The Blow
She smacks the pot of chicken soup off the table. The earsplitting racket of the pot impinging on the floor echoes throughout the whole house as Liam and I leap to obviate the rain shower of soup and the scattering pieces of chicken. What was supposed to be our supper now scatters on the floor. Before us is a raging lioness. Defeat hurts, huh?
“Pray to your Gods that your secrets stay in the deep depths in which you have buried them, you fools! Because the moment I unearth even just a little bit of them, I will expose you to the world! You will both curse the day you decided to take me for a fool!” She fumes and turns around, howling the name of the housekeeper like a maniac.
What has the poor housekeeper done now?
“Yes, madam!” Serah responds, stopping a few steps in front of her enraged boss, head hunched down.
“Clean that mess up. Clean this whole house because it stinks so much! I am suffocating!” She howls.
