Chapter 28. Lovers Tiff

A gentle breeze from the open windows swirled around the couple. The muscular arm around Seyi's waist tightened to anchor her to Victor's lap as they cuddled together. Despite how romantic the couple looked to an unsuspecting observer, there was a tense atmosphere between them. 

"I think he is on to us." Victor's words jolted Seyi off his lap as she turned to look at him with her eyes full of fear. They planned a romantic getaway for the two of them in a hotel that Victor promised Leo knew nothing about. 

"How do you mean?" Seyi trembled as she spoke. 

"I noticed someone followed me two days ago." 

"And you did not say anything about it until now?" Seyi yelled. 

"Calm down. What would you have done about it anyway?" 

"Well, we could have been more careful." She snapped at him. 

"Can you just stop raising your voice at me?"
