Chapter 97

Albert's POV 

"After delivering the news to you sir, I went on to do my work. I have not set my eyes on her since then." The maid explained to me. She obviously had no idea where Mary was, so I had to let her go. 

I went forward to look for her around the house. There are three places she likes to be if she is not in her room. The lobby, the pool side and the sit out. 

I started to wonder if maybe she went to one of these places and told a maid to tell me, but the maid forgot. I was just looking for anything to justify why she was not in her room when I got there. 

I just made up these things in my head to suppress the disappointment I felt inside. I took a trip to the poolside. When I got there, there was no one. She was nowhere to be found. I even walked down to try and look further, if I could see her somehow. She was clearly not there. 

From there, I went to the sit out. The sit out was quite far from the poolside, so I had to take
