“You just had to slip that in there.” I glanced at him from beneath my eyelashes, and he raised his hands in surrender.
“That’s too convenient a coincidence.” I shook my head in doubt.
“I’ve never used this even though I had it for a while. I really had no idea what was in them,” he chuckled.
I nodded, smiling as I picked up the light blue card. “You’re the undercover detective, he is the mafia boss, but you can no longer resist the attraction.”
I raised the card with a nod.
“In another life, this would have been the one,” I said, and he threw his head back to laugh.
