The Past Followed Her

Syanja and Lara were sitting in the garden while Nina and Sui-Ta were playing football. Mrs. Corton was walking along with Mrs. Jeong. 

“So, how is everything going?” Syanja let out a deep sigh and smiled a little. 

“Everything is going well.” 

“How about Jung-Hoon?” 

“We are happy.” Lara nodded her head a little. 

“Why are you so lost these days? Jung-Hoon is so worried about you, Syanja.” 

Lara glanced at her with concern. Syanja smiled and shook her head. 

“It’s not like that. I am just not feeling well these days.” 

“What?” Lara yelled, catching everyone’s gaze on her. Laughing awkwardly, Syanja thought about an excuse. 

“She is just acting weird today.” Everyone smiled and continued their work. 

“Slow down, girl.”
