When they got home that evening, she was feeling dizzy and all she wanted to do was go to bed. She might have been hallucinating, but she was sure she saw Lewis looking at her intensely as she climbed the stairs to her bedroom. She stood by her room door as he stood by his room door, neither moving into their rooms. Finally, he burst out and said he was sorry for making her work so hard during the entire day and wished she would stop being difficult for him.
