Chapter 32. Save Her

My lips were shaking, and my knees rumbled on, feeling as if the sky dropped some water on my face until the whole place was covered in mud. It was raining now, and other people were urging me to take shade but I stayed on the ground, all wet and bawling my eyes out.

He was proud of me all along? I find it very hard to believe but seeing the photobook is enough proof for me.

I did not even get to hear it directly from his voice.

How am I going to live now?

Elyana pulled me in a hug, “It’s alright sis, it’s alright.”

I shook my head and ended up bursting into tears as I hugged her, “I’m sorry, Elyana. I’m sorry. I was not able to be here until his dying breath. I was not even able to take care of him.”

Elyana grabbed both of my cheeks and smiled, “No it is okay, you did your best to provide for us.” She then looked at mother, “Mother stopped gambling. I paused from school because I have to help in taking care of father but we’re alright..”
