Chapter 30. No Lie

His soft lips lingered on mine for a minute before I had the time to grasp everything.

Everything was too fast and when breath was sucked out of me, I pushed him away.

“W…What was that?” I panted, feeling the cold air sweep past me. I shuddered, seeing how Theon’s eyes were on me.”

“Sorry, I wasn’t…I couldn’t resist your laugh.”

I gave him a deadpan look, “That’s why you…kissed me?”

He looked down at me, “I apologize. I was not myself…”

I breathed deeply, looking at him with contempt. I instantly pushed myself out of the water and walked away from him.
