He gritted his teeth. “Charlotte.”
“A public apology to Charlotte.”
“This is my daughter’s engagement party!” he stated. “I can’t ask Chloe to apologize. It would ruin her day! Besides, she was the one who got slapped and embarrassed in front of the guests.”
“She should have thought about that before making false allegations against her sister.”
His control finally snapped.
“Listen, Mystery,” he snarled, “I don’t know what that bitch told you, but she is not the victim here. You don’t know her. She’s not even my daughter to begin with!”
