“It’s the audition,” she said calmly, walking over to adjust one of my earrings. “Well… sort of. Let’s skip the formal script reading. I know you can act. I want to see how you hold your own in a rehearsal setting.”
My stomach twisted. “Rehearsal?”
“Yes. You’ll be playing Ava—the rude, spoiled brat, remember? You’re the female lead. We’ll use your real name and age for now, since this isn’t the final shoot. Just stay in character.”
