Chapter 261. Morning Chaos
Third-Person POV
Alexis regained her senses. Her heart was aching, she didn’t know if it was the alcohol working. People spoke their minds whenever they were intoxicated.
To him it was easy, was he the one who made her love him with every fiber of her being. His name was engraved in her mind. His touch lingered still even when it had been years since he left her. By now Maverick had sobered up. His eyes were fully awake although he didn’t have control over his limbs
“I was scared…the feeling I had for you frightened me,” Maverick muttered recalling how an eleven years old girl rubbed off on him so deeply. He was frightened to love such a fragile thing. What if he hurt her, what if he wasn’t good for all. Such thoughts haunted his dreams.
“Trust me I wanted to stay every damn second close to you…to protect you and make you mine” he muttered fixing his eyes on her… he was done hiding…she didn’t remember him which surprised him and seeing her blank expres
