Chapter 44. Misunderstood the Situation

Vivienne’s POV

I didn’t think Victor would allow me to be his maid but when I received a private text message from him saying I was hired as his helper. I was shocked that I couldn’t stop smiling. I was so thrilled that living in his house was even better. I wasn’t only his surrogate but I could work as well and the thought of it brought a smile to my face

After he left, I rushed back to his room just to arrange everything

I hummed to a tune as I arranged his bed. I haven’t felt so free before as I put away his files. I was glad he wasn’t so hard on me for spending his money on something useless as he called it

To me, it wasn’t useless and I was willing to make sure he didn’t have to worry about anything

I didn’t like the way I saw him the first time we met, he seemed like a good man despite his cold nature. I guessed his wife’s death was so sudden for him to be so heartbroken
