Chandler knew in that moment that she was not just a passing enchantment; she was a force that would forever alter the rhythm of his heart. He wanted her, but she’d told him that didn’t want to be with anyone, and now he was confused about what to do with his feelings. As she approached, their eyes met, sparking a connection that transcended the mere physical realm and he was sure that she felt it too. He could tell because it was right there in her eyes, but of course she was fighting it, he thought as he watched her look away.

“I hope I’m not late,” she said when she stood in front of them.

“Not at all,” said Chandler, shaking his head as if trying to shake away the spell she’d cast on him, “Matt, this is Elena Davis. Elena… Mr Matt Harrington,”
