Scott McCall studied her for a few seconds before he replied. “You’re welcome, and that’s fine. The vacancy opened up quite suddenly and I need a replacement urgently. Well, you already told me that you were interested, so I gave it a shot”

“I completely understand, sir,” Vivian replied. “And I’m still very grateful. Can I get you something to drink or eat?”

Scott looked around. “Yeah, I guess so. I haven’t really been here before so I don’t know what the food is like, so I guess I should trust you. What do you recommend?”

Vivian actually blushed. “Ermmm, the cheesecake is really great…and it would go well with a glass of white wine.”

Scott nodded. “That sounds perfect” he said, “I’ll have that…”

“Great. I’ll be back soon” Vivian said, and almost ran out of the restaurant.
