Chapter 21

Lycanthropos had never felt the world was closing in on him as much as he did now. He had been resurrected, naïve and ignorant of who he was, and dependent on the people he trusted to help him navigate the world. He had accepted his world as it was – a being brought to life to take someone else’s life.

As he fiddled with his car keys and was about to rush out of the house, he thought the course of events might not have to be fixed. Maybe he could change things and end all of this, for he had started it in the first place.

As he entered the car, the dashboard was almost invincible to him. Everything blanked out, and all he could see was a white thicket in front of him. He was lost in a trance and did not know how to return from it, which was annoying because he had to get to Birdy as soon as possible.
