The look of disbelief was the first thing I noticed in his eyes. However, it quickly changed to that of betrayal, which brought an unspeakable rage in my heart.
“There’s nothing to talk about anymore,” I firmly said, setting the boundary. “So, if you excuse me.”
However, I nearly forgot just how persistent Jaxon was. He might have gone easy on me during our two-year relationship but there were times his attitude showed.
