Chloe POV

''I...I'm sorry......'' I croaked out, my voice cracked under the strain.

Why was I so clueless about the fact that I wasn't pregnant? Would Easton still want to marry me if he'd known that we weren't going to have a baby together? Would he take me to this island and let me stay here? Would he surprise me in the same way that he did to me?

I was helpless to stop the loud sobbing that broke out. I was hoping for the baby… I was expecting a family with Easton. But how can I accomplish that if it appears that the baby we've been waiting for will not arrive?

''There's nothing to be sorry about, it's not your fault…'' he wiped the tears off my cheeks and pulled me into a hug, kissing my hair.
