I felt uncomfortable on my seat as I waited for Chloe to enter the plane. What's taking them so long?

As I opened my laptop and looked at her photo on the screen, I couldn't help but let out a sigh. This picture was taken a year ago on the island, and she was laughing while looking out at the water while sitting on the beach. ''Chloe, what happened to you...? What happened to us?'' I inquired as I lightly grazed her face with my finger.

The realization that Chloe had amnesia was like having a weight of steel placed on the inside of me. I felt like losing her forever… The idea that she couldn't remember me was extremely upsetting, frustrating, and excruciating to consider.
