''You can't possibly be serious!'' Chad exclaimed while his brows were furrowed, as if he were engaged in some profound contemplation.

''It's the truth...'' I let out a forceful sigh. ''She can't remember everything. Even my name escaped her memory completely. It's really quite discouraging, if you think about it...''

''Send her to the best medical specialist…'' he suggested.

''That's something I'm going to do, bro...'' I said as I rubbed the side of my head. ''Please don't tell anyone about it just yet, especially mom...''

He heaved a sigh. ''Sure! Can I see Chloe?''

''No, not even close!''

''Why not?'' he asked. ''What if she would recall everything when she sees me?'' I was the very last pe
