Chapter 68. Traumatizing

Chloe POV

''Dad…'' I followed him as he made his way into their room, rolling his wheelchair. I got on my knees in front of him and as I did so, my hands gripped him. ''What happened?''

He let out a loud sigh as he released his hand from my grasp, and his expression hardened as he continued to stare at me. ''I'm sorry, but… I really don't like your new boyfriend...''

I was at a loss for words as I gaped at him in disbelief. I never thought that he would eventually say it to me. When we were talking earlier, he mentioned that he wanted to hear my explanation on this matter, but I didn't anticipate that he would come right out and say to my face that he doesn't like Easton.

When other people condemned my relationship with my boss, I wasn't nearly as affected as I was but when Dad did it to me, my heart felt like it was sinking into a bottomless pit. He never behaved in s
