A cool breeze rushed at me the moment I swung the door at the top of the stairwell open. Like a door leading to somewhere unknown, I stepped into the fresh air. The space in front of me was empty, with nothing but a glass railing that bordered off the edges. It was basically a flat surface with a good view.

I sighed as I walked to the railing, and the sight of people strolling along the walkway and a couple of cars twinkling underneath the night sky came into view.

Nostalgia washed over me as I gazed down below. It looked exactly like one of the streets back at home. Or, if I was being specific, it looked just like the street where I was kidnapped.
