Chapter 20
It has been raining heavily. It's been two weeks. Aria was sitting at one of the tables at the corner of the cafe. Her hand held the cup, smelling the aroma of the brewed coffee. Although she cannot forget that evening, Zerran words at her. And the question bothering her: how did his mother and sister die? Who was the other person he cared for that also died that day?
She stared intently at the coffee and sipped gently, tasting the bitterness on her buds, yet it was comforting for her patience in waiting for Lucas, who was almost five minutes late for their meeting time.
Aria set the cup down on the table and looked around. Three tables were occupied, and they were mostly a couple. A love song was playing in the background. The bartender was cleaning the coffee machine while chatting with the waiter standing next to the counter, waiting for the customer to call him.
Moving her gaze to the closed door, she gripped the hold of her coffee, not minding the heat burning
