The following days flew by, and it was soon a whole month since we had returned safely to Mystic River. We were all so happy, and things seemed peaceful. Nolan had made me his Luna and our wolves were happy too. Being marked and marking Nolan had been the best feeling for me. I didn’t want to be away from him, Everything was going great so far. Cady and I had started to become close again. Nolan had begun to work alongside Silverline with Griffin and Iris, with the help and support of Rowan and Atlas. My mother was still plodding along and healthy whilst my brother Simon continued his Beta duties.

But I woke up one morning feeling sick and had a terrible headache that I could not shift. Ethan came bounding into the bedroom like he did most mornings and cuddled up with me until my mother would go and get him for breakfast and a stroll on the grounds. He was happy and safe within our pack. Nolan had made it clear that he would be under constant supervis
