Lyra’s POV
The moment Alistair introduced that girl as his sister, my eyes nearly popped out of my head. I discreetly slapped my palm against my forehead—how could I have been so foolish to let my heart race over nothing? Embarrassment bloomed across my cheeks until they felt on fire. Clearing my throat, I managed a smile. “Hello, I’m Lyra.” I held out my hand.
Instead of a handshake, she reached forward, grabbed my wrist, and pulled me into an enthusiastic hug. Her excitement was almost contagious, yet it puzzled me—why was she so thrilled to meet me?
Alistair stepped in with a grin. “We’re overhauling her wardrobe—everything from casual comfort to high-end sophistication.”
I turned to him, eyebrows raised. “Mmm…”
Behind me, Audrey—Alistair’s sister—muttered, “I know exactly what you’ll love. Come on.” She tugged me gently by the hand toward a private fitting room. “Are you shopping for dresses, everyday pieces, or both? I’ll pick out the finest
