Chapter 161

Sofia’s POV

Steel and I walked through the halls of the orphanage. I had been so busy that I hadn’t been here in a while. Steel had still been allowed to come with Ida. If not he probably would’ve died without seeing Isabelle.

We walked inside of the playroom and he let go of my hand. He was about to run over to her but he hesitated. He looked back at me and made sure he was going to be given the okay first.

I gave him a nod. “Go ahead.”

He turned back around and ran right for Isabelle. I watched as her face lit up once she saw him coming. He hugged her and then they headed for the toys. They were adorable together.

“Sofia, it’s been a minute.” Mrs. Parker spoke as she approached me. “How are you?”

“Good.” I smiled.
