Steel’s POV

A few weeks after we handled everything that needed to be done with the scandal that Elise caused with my mother.

To be honest my parents could have solved this their way but were making me handle the situation as it was me who let it go too far.

I decided to handle this on my way and I even left a note beside Isabelle, telling her to take a few days off.

My father’s name came across my phone screen for the tenth time in twenty minutes. As I had with the rest, I rejected the call. This time I chose to turn my phone off completely.

I knew he was trying to reach me because I told him I wouldn’t be coming in today. On top of that, I’m sure he’s one of the first people Isabelle went to this morning. There was no way she was just going to take my note and let herself relax, that’s just not who she is.

But that note is what was buying me some time right now.
