Chapter 85

Sofia’s POV

“Do you have any questions before you go?” The nurse asked as she looked between Sterling and me.

I held Scarlet close as she was swaddled up in her blanket. After another day in the hospital, we were finally going home. My biggest fear was that she would have to stay here since she was early but that wasn’t the case. This little girl has proved herself to be a little fighter.

I felt a little anxious about going home though. At home, there was just us to take care of her. There were no nurses to offer to come and take her to the nursery for a while.

The only time I had ever taken care of a baby was when I did a few babysitting jobs in high school but I still felt like my knowledge from those just wasn’t enough. We had Rose to help but I couldn’t just pawn Scarlet off on her, she was my responsibility.

“No. I don’t have any questions.” I answered.
