Chapter 47. First Camp
Cassian POV
We’ve put together quite a procession for a trip into the mountains, but half the men will wait at the bottom with the wagons and provisions at the end of the road, and we’ll have to make the rest of the journey on foot. Runners will bring up any supplies we can’t carry as we need them.
I’m going to hate to see my new queen and Luna trudging up a mountain. If it were my choice, she’d wait in the comfort of Snowthorne’s castle. But with the key to the seal requiring both of us, this is one thing that isn’t my choice.
And I’m not fucking happy about that.
The procession takes us by the castle entrance, and the king and his men stand waiting as we approach. I turn to Lyra before dismounting.
