Chapter 38. He Followed It in Just a Blink of an Eye
Briella had fallen asleep while waiting for Braun. She woke up when the door to their room opened. Immediately, she sat up in bed, and he approached her, kissing her lips.
“I’m sorry if I was late. We had to finish a meeting today with some international artists of the company,” he apologized.
She glanced at the large clock hanging on the wall. It was already nine in the evening.
“Have you eaten?” he asked her.
She shook her head. “I was waiting for you,” she replied.
He kissed her forehead and took off his shirt in front of her. She stared at him, unsure of how to start the conversation she wanted to have—they needed to talk. She needed to plead with him and ask for forgiveness even though she hadn’t done anything yet.
She knew what she was doing was wrong, and she would do it. They were already married, and their union was legal, but she couldn’t give him her full attention as a wife, and now she was about to ask for something she knew was insan
