Chapter 79. Does the Fox Always Lie?

Warren came back. After a while, old Mrs. Duncan hit the ceiling.

Penelope stayed with Chris in the bedroom and turned a deaf ear.

Mrs. Brown walked in. Penelope stood up and asked, "What happened?"

"Old Mrs. Duncan was furious."

"How did Warren explain it?"

"He said that the child is his." Mrs. Brown looked at Penelope worriedly with speculation.

Mrs. Brown didn't hear clearly. She asked Penelope, "What are you going to do? The old lady is used to being in power in their family. Even old Mr. Duncan couldn't say anything when he was alive. When old Mr. Duncan passed away, she became the eldest in the family, so she is bound to prevail."
