Chapter 113. You’re My Wife
"She was trying on clothes. She mentioned she'll be performing in a show tonight."
"What kind of performance?" Warren realized that since their "cold war," he had become less and less informed about her activities and now had to rely on Mrs. Brown for updates.
Meanwhile, Penelope was quite content. After studying at the library in the morning, she returned home for lunch. The smell of steak wafted from the kitchen.
"It smells delicious. I'm going to eat a lot today," she exclaimed, dropping her bag and heading into the kitchen.
Mrs. Brown smiled and cautioned, "If you eat too much, you might not fit into your dress tonight."
Penelope immediately remembered and said, "Oh, right, I shouldn't overeat."
Mrs. Brown suggested, "If you're hungry, have a bowl of soup first." She placed a bowl of soup beside Penelope.
"Thanks.”
